Its Magic!

Well, not really. This program is written in Delphi, and employs a Paradox style file structure to store information that you would like published on the web. After you've filled in information about the items to be published, you should perform a review by clicking the HTML/TEST menu options. This will open your web browser and let you see the final result. Close the web browser when you have reviewed all pages.

When you are happy with what you see, simply click the HTML/Upload menu options. This will use your (existing) Internet connection to contact the server and send all pages and graphics. If all goes well, your web site is online.
At any time, you can print an inventory of the items for sale.

Context sensitive help is available throughout the program to help guide you through the process. Place the cursor in any field on any of the forms - then press the F1 key for help.

How you get started.

If you already have an Internet connection, you're halfway there. Your Internet Service Provider probably allows you to have free personal web space. Find out (from your ISP) how to access the space. Some services set up the space as (ispname.net)/~username. Others may be username.ispname.net.

If you would like to register a domain name, there are many registrars. You can browse to www.icann.org for a complete listing. The price varies greatly, so shop around. I registered with www.godaddy.com and was charged $17.50 for a 2 year registration. Network Solutions is probably the largest and best known, but their prices are considerably higher.
If you use a registered domain name, you will need to contract with an ISP to host that domain.
